• Join us for a presentation of colorful photography of aquatic species from around the world. Freshwater, saltwater, and Caribbean fish will be featured in Paul’s unique style of underwater photography.
Paul will offer some “tips” on how to make high quality photos of captive and wild underwater species.
Paul will share his documentation of coral research, reproduction, and restoration that he captures as an underwater conservation photographer. His work will show us the dynamic reefscapes from around the Caribbean, Indian Ocean, and the South Pacific. Learn how some corals reproduce, as witnessed through the eyes (and cameras!) of Paul Selvaggio.
Paul is a conservation photographer living on the Allegheny River in Freeport, Pennsylvania. His work supports the goals of conservation, education, research, outreach, wildlife, and wild places. Paul captures photos both above and below the water with international partners supporting wildlife conservation issues around the world.

Paul is a conservation photographer that supports the goals of conservation, education, research, outreach, wildlife, and wild places. He captures photos both above and below the water. Working with international partners supporting wildlife conservation issues and research.
Paul is a proud founding member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), a member of the North American Nature Photographers Association (NANPA), a media specialist for SECORE International, and an “official Coral Ambassador with a camera”.
Paul’s work has included editorial, commercial advertising, portraiture, food, fashion, nature, wildlife, underwater, and conservation. Paul is best known as the “Pittsburgh Zoo’s Photographer”, which he volunteered his photography to the Zoo for over 31 years and then became the Zoo’s first conservation photographer in 2021. Paul “retired” from the Zoo in 2025 and continues his photography as a storyteller for international clients documenting incredible people working and supporting conservation for amazing animals.

There will be plenty of time to mingle with members and guests throughout the evening.
